About Mom & Kids

The Gloria Dei Mom and Kids group welcomes parent and their young children!! 

We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings of each month at Gloria Dei Church starting at 9:30 a.m.  Our children play, do a simple craft, and have a snack while we chat!

We have “Mom’s Night Out” once a month.  Please see the Mom’s Night Out Schedule for dates and locations.  This is a great time for us to relax, laugh, and support each other.  you do not have to attend the morning group to join us in the evening.

Our goal is to support young families of Gloria Dei.  We have done this through prayer, meals, visitaiton, childcare, etc.  If you or some you know needs our support, please contact us.

Miscellaneous Announcements

We received a Thank you note from Emily, Josh adn Julian Sigrist – “Thank you for the Waiters Express gift card and little blanket.  They were greatly appreciated.”

A thank you note from Gifford family – “Thank you to everyone that provided us with meals or prayers while Hungter was in the hospital.  You have no idea how much we appreciated it and how helpful it was to us.”

Cookie of the Month Sign Up

Okay, ladies.  Time to decide which months you will get baking and sign up for our Cookie of the Month donations to the Youth Auction.  We raised a lot of money last year and I am excited to see how much we can generate this year.

Here is how it works:

2-3 dozen cookies (depending on size) are to be homemade, packed in bakery box and delivered to the winners between the 1st and 7th of each month.  Please arrange for drop off of box and label with Jane Dahlen prior to your delivery date.  If you are not able to bake cookies as designated, please contact someone else from the list to trade.  We will bake 2 baskets (families) each month.  You can sign up for one or both.

Preschool Story Time

Located in our children’s library.
Come and join other parents in our new “Holy Grounds” coffee cove as your children learn about our Christian values through great stories and songs.

Parents will need to stay in the Children’s Library with Children 2 ½ and younger.

Mom’s Night Out Schedule

Mom’s Night Out is generally the 1st Sunday evening of each month.  We go out to dinner at 6pm or have another planned event.  Below is a list of the dates we meet.  Locations will be updated monthly in the Gloria Dei newsletter, the Mom and Kids postcards, and this blog

Below is our schedule for the year.  It is subject to change as necessary.  We meetin in the nursery at Gloria Dei unless otherwise specified.  Please check the monthly Gloria Dei newsletter and this blog for updates.

• June 11th, 9:30am – Allendale Park – bring your own sunscreen, snacks, etc.
• June 25th – VBS at Gloria Dei – No Mom and Kids.
• July 9th, 9:30am – Allendale Park – bring your own sunscreen, snacks, etc.
• July 23rd, 9:30am – Allendale Park – bring your own sunscreen, snacks, etc.
• August 13th, 9:30am – Allendale Park – bring your own sunscreen, snacks. etc.
